All About Margie

Margie Archer, owner of Portland Accents & Occasions, brings an enthusiastic and expert design eye to her new commercial interior-design enterprise. She looks forward to working with Portland's local businesses, from coffee shops and restaurants to wineries and retail stores, to help them create inviting, comfortable environs that reflect their business mission and that make for happy employees and even-happier customers.

Margie has been honing her creative skills for 22 years. She's worked as a senior project and room designer for a national magazine publishing group, designed sets for HGTV programming, and styled magazine and catalog photo shoots. She has also worked as a floral designer, window and merchandising display artist, and a home-accessory buyer. Most recently, she's been working with homeowners and businesses to create distinctive interior designs meant to accommodate everyday and special-occasion needs.

Margie's design philosophy is a simple one. Create well-designed spaces that meet the client's functional and aesthetic needs, while showcasing a stylish kick, be it contemporary, classic, Portland funky or just plain comfortable.
